Crown Lengthening

What to expect
Your visit starts with a conversation and an examination, with X-rays only where they add something. Your dentist explains what they see and the options in plain language, and nothing starts until you have agreed the plan. Local anaesthetic is used where a step would otherwise be uncomfortable, and you can ask for a pause at any time.
Aftercare basics
Your dentist gives you written aftercare for your case before you leave. The basics usually include gentle brushing and flossing as normal, a quiet day for the treated area, and a review visit so healing and comfort can be checked. If anything feels wrong, message us on WhatsApp and we reply during clinic hours.
Five questions
The questions people ask before this treatment. Anything else, ask us on WhatsApp.
My gums bleed when I brush. Is that serious?
Bleeding is usually an early sign of gum inflammation and is very treatable. A gum health assessment shows where things stand and what will help.
Can gum disease be reversed?
Early gingivitis usually can be, with professional cleaning and good home care. Established periodontitis is managed rather than cured, and a maintenance plan keeps it stable.
How is a deep cleaning different from a normal one?
A deep clean works below the gum line to remove deposits from the root surfaces, usually under local anaesthetic and sometimes over more than one visit.
