Teeth Whitening
Professional whitening that lightens the natural colour of your teeth under a dentist's care, after a check that your teeth and gums are ready for it.

What to expect
Whitening starts with a check-up, because decay, gum problems or worn fillings are treated first. Your dentist records your current shade and explains which approach suits you: whitening in the chair, at home with custom trays, or both. Whitening lightens natural tooth colour only, so existing crowns, veneers and fillings stay their colour; your dentist tells you beforehand if any of them would need changing afterwards to match.
Aftercare basics
Some sensitivity during and shortly after whitening is common and settles. Your dentist may suggest a toothpaste for sensitive teeth, and avoiding strongly coloured food and drinks such as coffee, tea and red sauces for a short while after each session.
Five questions
The questions people ask before this treatment. Anything else, ask us on WhatsApp.
Is professional whitening safe for my teeth?
When it is assessed and supervised by a dentist, whitening is a well-established treatment. Your teeth and gums are checked first, and the strength and timing are chosen for you. Some sensitivity is common and settles.
How long does whitening last?
It varies from person to person and depends on habits such as coffee, tea and smoking. Your dentist explains how to keep the shade and when a top-up might be needed.
Will my crowns or fillings whiten too?
No. Whitening works on natural tooth only. Your dentist checks your existing work first and explains whether anything would need replacing afterwards so the colours match.
Does my insurance cover this?
That depends on your plan and on why the treatment is needed. Send a photo of your insurance card on WhatsApp and we check your cover before your visit. Any fees are confirmed with you before treatment.
Which dentist will I see?
All three of our dentists work across this treatment. Tell us what you need and we book you with the right person, or name the dentist you would like to see.
