What to expect

Your visit starts with a conversation about how you have been since your last review and anything that has changed. Your doctor goes through your plan in plain language and asks your agreement before any check begins. Any monitoring is done in a private room, with your doctor telling you what is being looked at and why. You can pause or ask a question at any point, and your doctor writes to your specialist where that is useful.

Aftercare basics

Your doctor gives you written guidance for your case. The basics usually include continuing the plan you already follow unless you and your doctor agree a change, keeping your next review in the diary, and messaging us on WhatsApp if something changes between visits.

Good to know

Five questions

The questions people ask before this treatment. Anything else, ask us on WhatsApp.

Can your doctor follow up a condition my specialist manages?

Often, yes, working alongside your specialist rather than instead of them. Whether it fits your case is discussed at consultation, and your doctor writes to your specialist where that helps.

Can I get a repeat prescription?

Where it is appropriate and your doctor has reviewed you, yes. Bring your current prescription or a note of what you take, and your doctor goes through it with you.

How often do I need a review?

That depends on your condition and how things are going. Your doctor sets that out for your plan at consultation, and it can change over time.

What do I bring?

Your Emirates ID, any insurance card, your current prescriptions, any letters or reports from your specialist, and any readings you keep at home. It helps your doctor to see the whole picture.
